  • INDUSTRY EVENTS

    A confident and lively public speaker, I relish the opportunity to evangelise the benefits of brilliant user design.

    A stand out event was an invitation to speak at the 2022 Chatbot Conference: Shaping the Future of Conversational AI, where I spoke on “How to leverage the power of conversation through excellent user experience”.

    My goal was to help drive the agenda of creative potential and creative quality within conversational experiences, and the qualitative feedback from the session demonstrated that this had landed.

    The event was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse community of AI enthusiasts, developers, and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements in conversational technology, all within the novel environment of the Metaverse.

    I have also designed content for use in high exposure, critical importance flagship events - from Google Marketing Live, to Cannes Creative Harbour, to Google I/O.

  • USER EXPERIENCE SUMMITS

    I’m a big believer in the power of getting people into the same room to help energise them towards a vision, and hopefully promote a little bit of fomo along the way.

    Brands from Girl Effect to Google have sought my help in designing and delivering a range of scaled sessions to help industry leaders crack a business subjective, through the lens of user strategy and user experience design.

    A highlight was a 2023 Google’s Business Messages summit which resulted in the conversion of long term latent prospects like Tiffany’s, as well an increase of +60% of people who said they would use the product for sales objectives. Overall, 81% were inspired to move forwards in 2023 with urgency.

  • UP-LEVELLING SALES TEAMS WITH USER FIRST STRATEGIC THINKING

    When you have developed brilliant, best in class products and solutions, it can be easy to dive straight into the technical detail with prospective leads.

    This misses a huge opportunity to help the audience understand why the tech matters to them as people, and to the businesses they represent.

    I have helped sales engagement teams from Area120, to Google Play, to Privacy Sandbox unpack what the user story is, the key tension, and therefore the shining opportunity. 100% of the assets I have produced have been utlised, and multi $M in deals have been attributed to this work; including the success of one beta product (AdLingo), and proving market fit of another beta (Click to Message Search Ads).

  • MENTORING & FOSTERING NEW TALENT

    From designing, delivering and managing 3 agency grad schemes to ongoing mentorship, I love helping empower others to think creatively, empathetically, and grow confident in their own voice.

    I currently mentor 4 people, and look to help them navigate challenges with curioristy, to identify solutions with an open mind.

    Two of the more personally rewarding mentees from recent times:

    1) A UXer at heart who was working account management in a network advertising agency. She suffered huge lack of confidence and so it was a two part job - helping her have the self belief to twist rather than stick, and to twist into an area which was much more personally fulfilling.

    2) A client partner from Walmart who requested 1:1 mentorship having seen my work with her leadership team, and attended a summit I ran.
